MEGACON™, the Southeast’s largest fan convention with shows in both Orlando and Tampa Bay, returns to the Orange County Convention Center Thursday, May 24 through Sunday, May 27, 2018. This year, MEGACON Orlando expects to welcome more than 100,000 fans throughout the Memorial Day weekend with a long roster of celebrity guests, endless programming and much more.
In 2017, more than 100,000 fans attended MEGACON Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center on Memorial Day Weekend. MEGACON Tampa Bay launched in 2016 and continues to expand in 2018 when it will welcome over 30,000 fans to the Tampa Convention Center, September 21 - September 23, 2018.
Celebrities in this year's lineup include: Lord of the Rings Elijah Wood; WWE Superstars John Cena, Alexis Bliss and Braun Strowman; Star WarsBilly Dee Williams and Joonas Suotamo; Star Trek Karl Urban; Xena: Warrior Princess Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor; The Little Mermaid Jodi Benson and Christopher Daniel Barnes; DC Justice League Jason Momoa; Jurassic Park Jeff Goldblum; The Walking Dead Michael Cudlitz among others
Master of Cosplay Grand Prix - a brand-new cosplay competition joining the lineup this year. MEGACON Orlando will host the Southeast Qualifier on Saturday, May 26. Cosplayers from around the country have been competing in qualifying contests at multiple conventions including FAN EXPO Dallas, Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo and will continue in FAN EXPO Boston with the last stop being FAN EXPO Canada in Toronto on Labor Day Weekend.
In addition to over 400,000 square feet of shopping madness and an incredible celebrity line up, MEGACON Orlando programming highlights include: Batmobile from Tim Burton's 1989 Batman Film, Halo Odst Drop Pod Experience, Star Wars by the 501st Legion, Cosplay Photo Park, Family Zone and much more
