Sun Bay Homicide 

On June 13, 2014 at approximately 9:00 PM, Orange County Deputies responded to the above listed address in reference to a check on the well-being of an individual.  Upon arrival deputies located a white male deceased inside the residence.  The male had visible trauma to his body.  The scene was immediately secured and investigators commenced the fact finding process.  Witnesses in the area were interviewed and detectives are actively pursuing tips that may have led to the death of the victim.



This is an active homicide investigation.  The victim’s information is not available for release as the next of kin has not yet been located.  There are no further details to release at this time.  Updates will be provided as information becomes available.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call CRIMELINE.

The victim has been identified as William Gales W/M DOB 6/21/69.  It is believed Gales may have known his killer or killers as there was no sign of forced entry.  No other information is available at this time.

Armed Hotel Robberies 

Detectives were able to identify the suspect who committed these robberies as Damien D. Altidor, b/m, 2/18/95.  They have obtained arrest warrants for armed robbery.  Altidor’s current location is unknown.  A photo of Altidor is attached.  Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Altidor is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.  Do not approach or attempt to stop him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.


On 6/4/14 at approximately 4am, a black male wearing a bandanna, and a boonie style hat, armed with a gun entered the Quality Inn at 5635 Windhover Drive and demanded money.  A search for the suspect was conducted however he was not located.

 At this time, the only photos I have of this robbery are attached. I will provide additional and video once it becomes available.

 On 6/4/14 at approximately 7am, a suspect described very similar to the previous robbery entered the Metropolitan Express hotel at 6323 International Drive.  The suspect was armed with a gun and when other persons entered the area, the suspect left.  A search for the suspect was conducted however, he has not been located.  

 No one was injured in either of these robberies.

 The preliminary information indicates that both robberies were committed by the same suspect. The suspect left on foot  and no vehicles or additional suspects were seen.  Investigators are working to determine if this suspect is connected to any other robberies

 At this time in these active investigations, there are no additional details or information is available at this time. I will provide updates to all when information or video becomes available.
