A bike-share program is likely to make its way to downtown Orlando soon. Bike-sharing programs are becoming more common these days with cities such as New York and Denver welcoming the program, and now two companies are vying to get started here in Orlando.
Cyclehop LLC and B-Cycle LLC both have put in their bid to the city. Patrons would be able to rent a bike by the hour from one of 16 locations or more by swiping their credit card and returning the bike to any of the other bike racks. City officials plan to pick the winning bid for the bike-sharing program next month.
