Last Friday, teachers, students, and the parents/gaurdians of those students were panicking after a 911 call was placed alerting the police that there was a gunman at Lake Mary High School, sending the entire campus into lockdown mode. 

As it turns out, there was never a gunman, thankfully. A 12-year-old boy was responsible for the fake report, calling under a fictitous name telling the 911 operator that there was a shooting at the school and that he was calling from a bathroom inside the high school.

The boy, whose name has not been released, was arrested for misuse of 911 and disruption of an educational institution, bot misdemeanors. The boy was later released to his parents.
