Officials in California have asked the governor to declare a state of emergency after predictions are showing that the wildfire in Southern California will grow to 50 square miles by the weekend. 

Assemblyman V. Manuel Pérez said "The state of emergency declaration is a much needed and important step to help rebuild and repair."
