Former Florida governor Charlie Crist has been making the talk show rounds recently promoting his new bid for the governor's office - this time as a Democrat. Crist has been receiving criticism for "jumping ship" from the Republican party. 

The former governor went on Real Time with Bill Maher last Friday where he explained why he left the GOP:

Crist's explanation is consistent with other politicians who have left the Republican party; they all say it has become a party completely different from the one that they joined, completely unrecognizable, moving further and further to the right. 

He then spoke with Stephen Colbert earlier this week and basically said the same thing:

Crist is currently leading in the polls, making it more obvious Floridians are not happy with current governor Rick Scott.
