Today marks the 25th anniversary of the protests at Tiananmen Square in China that ended in a brutal massacre. Pro-democracy advocates took to the square in Bejing when China sent tanks to neutralize the activists, leaving thousands dead. 

The Chinese government is trying their best to to suppress the events that took place 25 years ago, coming down hard on anyone in the country acknowledging the event.
