Lee Middle School and Edgewater High School right here in Orange county have adopted a strange new practice for handling dress-code violators. The kids that come to school in violation of dress-code are being given bright yellow shirts to wear throughout the school day. At Edgewater High School, the shirts read "Dress Code" and at Lee Middle School the shirts read "I Support Lee MS Dress Code."
Superintendent Bill Gordon saw the shirts upon visiting the schools and is not in favor of the new practice. "It stands out, and that really isn't our goal here," superintendent Gordon said. He continued to say, "we need to be drawing attention to the positive aspects of our dress code."
