David Gilmour the Lead Singer and Guitarist of Pink Floyd is currently working on a new album, the first in around 20 years, which is set to be released sometime in October 2014. Many tracks on the album were recorded during the recording of "The Division Bell" so some of the tracks will feature the late Rick Wright who died of an unannounced cancer in 2008 at the age of 65. This news was leaked by David Gilmour's wife Polly Samson on twitter with the tweet below.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful.— Polly Samson (@PollySamson) July 5, 2014
Alongside the new album there is going to be a 20th year anniversary Deluxe edition of "The Division Bell" released on the anniversary. The album was originally intended to be an instrumental album but the current touring singer for Pink Floyd has admitted to working on vocals for some of the songs.
