A 28-year-old Pakistani man had an unusual predicament to bring to his doctors. His left middle finger appeared to be growing another tiny finger out of the middle of it. The growth, which looked like a chicken's toe, was unsightly and caused a bit of pain, according to the patient. X-Rays showed nothing inherently wrong with the man, other than the extra growth, which was made of keratin, same as the rest of his normal fingernails.
