Blink 182 Frontman Mark Hoppus: ‘I Have Cancer And I’m Scared’

Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, +44, and Simple Creatures tells the world he has cancer.

The front man told the world through a tweet

Ryan from the Monsters loves Blink-182 and this was a surprise this morning. His bandmate Tom Delonge also of Angels and Airwaves, is also a cancer survivor

Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 49 year old singer made the announcement late Wednesday (6-23) across his social media.

He wrote: "For the past three months I've been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared.”

He went on to say that he was blessed with incredible doctors, family, and friends. According to his post, he has months of treatment ahead of him.

He ended with: "Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future. Love to you all."

Since sharing his statement, several fans and stars have wished him a speedy recovery.
