IHOP Employee Attacked Trying To Calm Rowdy Table

A manager at an International House of Pancakes was attacked in a melee after asking a group of customers to "please keep it down."

According to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Mohammad Al Hourani told police that the group instead started to get louder, at which point he asked them just to leave. That's when things got out of control. Some diners left, but many kept coming in and out of the restaurant and taunting the 28-year-old manager.

An unrelated customer took video of the incident, which has been called a felony aggravated assault. The clip shows the party throwing plates and chairs at Al Hourani, hitting him over the head multiple times. At one point, the 5'8 manager was seen body-slamming one of the attackers. No arrests have been made at this time.
