Steve Perry Will Attend Journey's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Original Journey frontman Steve Perry will be present at the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction on April 7, according to the band's keyboardist, Jonathan Cain.

Cain was doing an interview in advance of a show in Dayton, Ohio, when he mentioned that one of the reasons he is excited about the induction is the opportunity to reconnect with Steve Perry.

"The ceremony is the first time we're going to get to see Steve Perry in a long time," Cain told the Dayton Daily News. "So that'll be fun."

Journey fans haven't stopped believin' (sorry) that at some point Perry would repair his relationship with Neal Schon and the rest of his former bandmates.

There's no word yet on whether Perry will perform, but getting in the same room for the first time in years with his former band would sure be a good first step.

One thing that is almost certain is that current Journey singer Arnel Pineda will "represent" the band at the ceremony "like he always does."

"Arnel has been consistently on the road for 10 years now," Cain said. "I don't think any singer in the band has stayed on the road as long as Arnel has. When we think back to the Steve Perry days, he wasn't in the band for 10 years straight, faithfully being the road singer."

Faithfully, huh? Okay, at least we're not the only ones doing it.
