Mickelson & Fowler Commit To Honda Classic, Soon Both Will Be Residents

A couple of big names in golf have just committed to take part in an upcoming South Florida PGA tournament.

Jupiter resident Rickie Fowler, a former world number one-ranked golfer, and Golf Hall of Famer Phil Mickelson both say they'll be playing in the Honda Classic at PGA National.

Fowler won't have to travel far to Palm Beach Gardens, while Mickelson recently purchased land in nearby Martin County. He plans to move to the area next year.

Fowler won the Honda in 2017. Mickelson last played in the tournament the year before that.

Wellington native Brooks Koepka will also compete, along with names like Lee Westwood and Shane Lowry.

The Honda Classic tees off with the first round on March 18th.

The Honda Classic has released an additional allotment of tickets, pointing toward reduced daily crowds of about 10,000 this year with the primary focus on the health and well-being for all involved with the tournament and the local community.
