Florida Could Be Spared After Pipeline Shutdown

Oil prices are climbing after a cyberattack shut down the largest pipeline system in the nation.

The Colonial Pipeline supplies nearly half of the fuel on the East Coast and is currently shut down after a ransomware attack.

The company says it's waiting until it's safe to restart the 55-hundred mile system.

Gas Buddy's Patrick De Haan says the longer the system stays offline, the more worrisome the situation becomes.

But De Haan says those barges could be diverted to other areas if the system remains offline. He adds that at the moment, gas prices are up about five cents over last week.
