Major Amazon Outage Affect Many Businesses
Problems at Amazon Web Services have affected many businesses and services including Amazon Alexa, Disney+, Venmo, Ring, Prime Video and more.
The Associated Press, also affected by the outage, reported the problem just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday on Twitter. “Users say Amazon Web Services is suffering a major outage. The company provides cloud computing services to individuals, universities, governments and companies including The Associated Press,” the tweet stated.
A driver for Amazon in Nashville reached out to The News Junkie radio show on Real Radio 104.1 FM in Orlando to report that some drivers are unable to deliver packages due to the outage. Coincidentally, the News Junkie show, and many others that can be heard in iHeart Radio have also been affected on Amazon Alexa smart devices.
The website DownDetector.com showed outages all over the country with the message, "Reports indicate there may be a widespread outage at Amazon Web Services, which mat be impacting your service."
