Someone found a loophole in Sony's advertising. Originally, they told everyone the device doubled as a "computer" and could run Linux. But in their infinite wisdom, the manufacturer totally reneged on that feature, ditching the capability through a firmware update.
Basically, if you bought one of the earlier models, dubbed the Fat PS3, you might be eligible for some money!
