Hockey Mom Stops For Locker Room Breastfeeding Break

A new mom in Alberta, Canada won't let breastfeeding her eight-week-old newborn get in the way of the game (or, perhaps, the other way around). Moments before the game and somewhere in between putting on her skates and her jersey, Sereh Small of Grand Prairie grabbed her daughter Elllie for a quick pre-game feeding, right there in the locker room.

"I felt really empowered and no one looked or cared"

None of the other players seemed to bat an eye, they all support the 24-year-old, who juggles parenting, teaching, and playing for the Grovedale Vipers. She even says she hopes to see her daughter in skates "right when she starts walking."
