Riders Ejected From Faulty Thailand Fair Ride

A faulty safety bar caused several fair-goers to be ejected from a pirate-themed carnival ride Saturday night in Lopburi, Thailand. The bar holding six people in place opened, spilling five of them out of the ride, including two children and a 13-year-old girl who suffered a broken leg.

The 30-year-old man operating the machine at the time of the incident said in a statement, "I want to apologise"I want to apologize to the people who were hurt and their family but I did not know much about the machine so I did not check anything before I started it."
