Jar of Air, Domain Names Among Kobe Bryant "Memorabilia" Appearing on eBay

Less than 24 hours after Kobe and Gianna Bryant's lives were celebrated in a massive ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, tickets and programs from the event were asking for big money on eBay.

Though bid counts are low among many of the items, commemorative pins, programs, t-shirts and tickets were put up for sale on the popular auction site in the hours following the celebration of life Monday. Some of the items listed have starting prices in the hundreds.

These items join a slew of listings from users selling domain names registered in the days after the helicopter crash that took the lives of Bryant, his daughter and seven others. At the time this was published, a user named ebayprincess2500 had 33 domains listed for sale with names like KobeForeverInOurHearts.com and asking prices of over $500,000.

On the flip side, if you happen to find yourself in need of something to feel closer to the late basketball star but don't have six figures to shell out, user thizandthatt may be of service. In a listing titled, "Kobe Bryant Memorial Staples Center Atmosphere in a Jar Celebration of Life," they tell the story of their trip to the arena to collect air in souvenir jars:

Since we weren't allowed to be there for the actual event, we decided to go pay our respects early in morning that day, before daylight. Since it would be too early for shopping, we decided we'd collect some genuine Staples Center air in a mason jar while we were there & decorate it in memory of Kobe. Some family & friends liked the idea & asked if we'd fill one up for them too. So, we went out & bought 20 mason jars to collect air in, just in case their were others who might like to have a little something to remember Kobe by. We numbered them, packed them into backpacks & headed out.

Though so far, nobody has made the $10 starting bid, the post indicates more jars are on the way.
