The Tampa Bay Lightning (43-25-5) defeated the New York Islanders (32-30-10) 5-3 on Saturday afternoon at Amalie Arena. With the win, the Lightning went a perfect 3-0-0 on their three-game homestand.
Nikita Kucherov had a goal and three assists for his second four-point game in a row. Brayden Point also scored twice, while Jake Guentzel had a goal and an assist of his own. Jonas Johansson got the start in net and made 35 saves to get the win.
The Lightning now go on the road for the next four games, which begins with a trip to New York on Tuesday for a re-match against the Islanders. Puck drop in that game is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Tuesday night.
