Red Sox Get Walk Off Win Over Rays

The Boston Red Sox (51-45) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (50-45) 5-4 on Friday night in Boston. The Red Sox have now won the first two games of the series against their divisional rival.

The Rays took a 4-1 lead in the third thanks to a series of defensive miscues from the Red Sox. Boston scored twice in the fourth to pull within 4-3, which would be the score going into the ninth inninng. Ceddane Rafaela hit a two-run homer in the ninth to give the Red Sox a 5-4 win.

The Rays will once again look to bounce back when they meet the Red Sox in the third game of the four-game series on Saturday afternoon. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
