Rays Even Series With Angels

The Tampa Bay Rays (56-59) defeated the Los Angeles Angels (55-59) 7-3 on Tuesday night in Anaheim to even the three-game series at a game apiece.

The Rays offense erupted with seven runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game. The Angels got two in the fifth and one in the sixth but the Rays remained in control en route to the win.

Ryan Pepiot (7-9, 3.77) got the win for the Rays, allowing three runs - two of them earned - in five and two-third innings of work while striking out six and walking one.

The Rays will now look to win the three-game series when they meet the Angels in the rubber game of the three-game series on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 4:07 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at 3:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
