#5 Bulldogs Rally To Survive Gators

The 5th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1) needed a rally to outlast their rival Florida Gators (3-5, 2-3) 24-20 on Saturday afternoon in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.

The Gators stayed in this game throughout, playing their first game under interim coach Billy Gonzales since the Gators fired Billy Napier on October 19th. Tied 10-10 at halftime, the Gators kicked a field goal to take a 20-17 early in the fourth quarter.

Georgia took the lead when Chauncey Bowens ran in a 36-yard touchdown with 4:36 to go. He finished with 70 yards on the day. Georgia quarterback 20-for-29 with 223 yards and two touchdowns and an interception. DJ Lagway went 15-for-24 with 166 yards passing for Florida, throwing for one touchdown pass.

The Gators are next in ation when they travel to Kentucky next Saturday. Kickoff on November 8th is scheduled for 7:30 PM in Lexington.
