The Tampa Bay Lightning (14-7-2) defeated the Calgary Flames (8-14-3) 5-1 on Wednesday night at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa. It was the fifth straight win for Tampa Bay, who has won eight of their last ten.
The Lightning scored twice in the first 1:26 of this game to take control early. Brandon Hagel got the scoring started and has now scored in each of his last three games - the Lightning also got goals from Charles-Edouard D'Astous, Zemgus Girgensons, Declan Carlile and Nikita Kucherov.
The Lightning return to action when they travel to Detroit to take on the Red Wings on Friday afternoon. Puck drop between the Lightning and Red Wings is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Black Friday in Detroit.
