The Tampa Bay Lightning (23-13-3) defeated the Anaheim Ducks (21-16-3) 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon in Anaheim. It was the 1000th game coached for Lightning head coach Jon Cooper, and it was the fifth straight win for Tampa Bay.
The Lightning got a first period goal from J.J. Moser, a second period goal from Brayden Point, and a third period goal from Nikita Kucherov on the power play. Tied 4-4 after three periods, it was Darren Raddysh coming through with the game winner that lifted the Lightning to their second point.
The Lightning will now play the Los Angeles Kings in the second game of a West Coast back-to-back on Thursday night. Puck drop on Thursday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET from Los Angeles.
