A Maui man is writing 144 nice things about his ex-girlfriend.  The "Maui News" reports that a judge sentenced Daren Young on Friday to write the nice messages after he called and texted the woman 144 times.  The judge told Young he has to write a compliment for every nasty thing he said about his ex in the texts and calls.  Young gets credit for 5 months already spent behind bars but will be on probation for 2 years and has to pay a $2,400 fine.  

The judge also told Young it was childish for a grown man to be so "thumb-happy."
