A 600-pound great white shark was reported off the coast of Boynton Beach over the weekend.

The shark, named "Rose" by researchers with OCEARCH, was pinged off the coast of Boynton early Sunday morning.

It was an apparent continuation of a trip south by the shark, who had been near the St. Lucie Inlet on Saturday and then later the same day was off the coast between Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter.

Rose, who was first tagged by OCEARCH in 2020, pinged off the coast of Hollywood on Tuesday morning.
