Miami Police Robbery Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Monday, June 2, 2025., at approximately 10:45 a.m. at 5925 S.W. 8th Street.
According to the victim, who is an employee at the business reported that while she was in the process of opening for the day, she observed an individual waiting outside the front entrance. Believing the person to be a potential client, she unlocked the door and allowed him to enter.
The suspect initially posed as a customer and began asking questions. Moments later, he produced a knife, pressed it against the victim, and demanded money.
Fearing for her life, the employee handed over $30—the only cash the business had on hand at the time. When the suspect became visibly agitated, she reached into her purse and gave him an additional $200 of her own money.
The suspect then demanded the victim’s gold bracelet, valued at approximately $5,000, before fleeing the scene eastbound on S.W. 8th Street.
Suspect description: Hispanic male, approximately 65–68 years old, 5'5", medium build, clean-shaven, and last seen wearing a white shirt and light blue jeans. He spoke with a Cuban accent and was armed with a silver knife.
