The Fate Of The Broward Teachers Union Being Decided Today

Votes being tallied in Tallahassee this morning as Broward teachers decide the fate of their union. BTU President Anna Fusco says 13-thousand-200 teachers are weighing in on recertification. The vote comes in order for the union to comply with a new state law saying a majority must vote in favor of it in order for it to continue. Governor DeSantis says the law ensures dues don't come out of paychecks for teachers who don't want to be involved. Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties have both recertified their teachers' unions.
