Over 30 Treated After Pepper Spray Incident At Florida High School

Lake Worth, FL - A fight at Lake Worth High School in Palm Beach County on Thursday escalated when pepper spray was allegedly used, prompting a large emergency response and medical treatment for dozens of students and staff.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reported receiving the call at approximately 12:30 p.m., describing the situation as involving both a physical altercation and the use of pepper spray.

Emergency responders dispatched 44 units, including fire rescue and private ambulances, to the school.

As of 2:00 p.m., 32 students and faculty members were transported to four nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

An additional 10 to 12 students were assessed at the school and later released to their families.

School resource officers accompanied the students and staff to the hospitals to provide security and support.

The school district confirmed that the campus remained secure during the incident, and classes continued as scheduled.

Officials emphasized that the fight violated school policies and that the involved students could face disciplinary action.
