(Madrid, ESP) -- The Dolphins edged the Commanders 16-13 in overtime from Madrid.

But was overtime really necessary?

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel made a controversial call to go for a touchdown on fourth-and-goal instead of kicking a field goal with just

1:44 remaining. The decision ended in failure.

The decision has sparked debate among fans and analysts, with some arguing it was a risky move given the circumstances.

Fortunately, Jack Jones came down with an interception on Washington's first play of OT. Then Riley Patterson nailed a 29-yard field goal after for the win.

Miami has won back-to-back games with McDaniel saying Sunday's victory, "was a memorable win."
